After crisis intervention
Fund raise for
Wenchu province
Each country, each society cannot prevent the happening of an unexpected event that can be devastating at all scales. The actual global situation, natural disasters or sudain epidemias are among what we call "crisis". These phenomenons represent a great challenge for a person, a town, a county or even an entire country.
China is still a poor country that lack the infrastructures to prevent and/or manage a crisis. However, the country - unfortunately - already experienced several kinds of huge crisis, leading to the creation of new tools and structures. We can think about the earthquakes that devastated the Sichuan province in 1976 and the Wenchu province in 2008.
What does CPAZ do ?
Since we are a CSO based in a city, we don't have the infrastructure to directly intervene in the case of large scale crisis. We focus on individuals or groups. For instance, because of the financial crisis, the conditions of life of farmers decreases dramatically. We helped them for their work in the fiels and then to sell their products, enabeling them to earn enough money.
Nonetheless, we don't stay inactive when a large scale crisis hits China. We envision society as a whole mecanism, where each part is related to the other, each must work for a common purpose. Then, we use all our means to help for after crisis intervention. Usually, we organize fund raises to donate money, for example to the Red Cross.

To reach a world where the "big" elements (like the Red Cross) and "small" elements (us!) cooperate for a common purpose is one of Secretary General of the United Nations Organization, Mr. Ban Ki Moon, main projects.
