CPAZ counts dozens of partners among the government, other associations, institutions, firms and artists. The nature of the partership varies according to the partner. This diversity enables CPAZ to focus and remain efficient in different aspects.
Here is an introduction of current partnerships:
- with the government: in China, the relation between a CSO and the government is far more tight than in Europe or North America. The CSO really has to follow the opinion of the government that established a "roadmap" for the city/province; the government can grant funds and new partners; the CSO recommends policies to the government because it has the field knowledge of a situation and helps the government achieving its goals (in poverty rates for example).
- with a firm: an enterprise can donate money or material and make some publicity for us; by helping us, the firm has a positive public image that is indispensable; and finally its products will be visible in the city.
- with other CSOs: basically, all the CSOs have the same ultimate goals. By cooperating, we increase our chances of success. Partnerships with other associations or even international organizations bring funds, publicity, capacity development. We can realize projects, exchange knowledge, coordinate our efforts. This is the philosophy of Secretary General of the United Nations Organization, Mr. Ban Ki Moon: the goals of the UN will never be achieved without cooperation with and between CSOs.
- with institutions: academic research and knowledge are capital. A new project always starts with obtaining a precise idea of what one will work on. CPAZ has partnerships with universities and institutions in Zhuhai and elsewhere to have such knowledge. For example, our project is to extrend our structure in other cities. First, we need to know the situation in these new places. This is why we plan to, firstly, contact insitutions there and, secondly, send our own workers after.
- with celebrities: Public personalities often also share a commitment with a social cause, sometimes due to their life experience or simply because they are aware that their status can be a powerful instrument to help others. They are also full volunteers who don't hesitate to commit themselves at 100%, for instance by going in dangerous areas, donating, participating to lectures, traveling around the world to talk about a cause...
